Funding is required to carry out the following work:

1. Rehabilitation and stabilization of permafrost of 145 miles between Destruction Bay and the Yukon/Alaska Border – estimated US$70 million.
2. Paving remaining 68 miles of the Haines Road – estimated US$35 million. 
3. Paving 67 miles of the Alaska Highway south of Destruction Bay – estimated US$39 million.
4. Paving 145 miles of the Alaska Highway from Destruction Bay to the Alaska Border – estimated US$93 million. 

Future funding requirement for point #4 is deferred until permafrost is stabilized.
