Transportation Maintenance

The Transportation Maintenance branch 
  • supports Yukon’s multi-modal transportation system by maintaining roads to a level that ensures safe and efficient use,
  • manages right-of-ways and other lands and assets required for transportation purposes,
  • maintains a total of 4,850 kilometers of Yukon roads
    - 248 kms of roads are paved,
    - 1,987 kms are covered with
       Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST), and
    - 2,617 kms are gravel
